We are delighted to reveal details of our annual Family Christmas concert, A Winter Wonderland, which will be on Sunday 14th December, 3pm at Katherine Warington School.

It will feature original seasonal music for Concert Band by Rob Wiffin and Philip Sparke, Nigel Hess's Christmas Overture and plenty of festive favourites!

Admission is free, and a collection will be used to ensure that the Luton and Dunstable Children's ward is stocked full of toys for Christmas.

Join us for a festive evening of carol singing. Doors open at 3:30pm and the service runs from 4pm to 5:15pm, followed by refreshments including mulled wine and mince pies.

The children 0-5 and 5-11 years old will be enjoying their own celebrations in one of the nearby classrooms. Lots of fun, games and prizes! Please sign up via the link below for free as there are limited spaces for the Kid's Christmas Party.

The children of the Church and groups who use our premises come together to perform in our annual Nativity for the congregation in December.

Father Christmas and St Albans for Refugees will be back at St Albans Museums and Galleries Trust on Sunday 14th December between 11am and 3pm!

Father Christmas is really looking forward to seeing all of the children of St Albans this year!

We will be continuing with our Reverse Father Christmas theme, which means that there is no charge to visit Father Christmas but we encourage children to bring a present for him to deliver to a refugee.

The items we would like to receive this year are packs of underwear or socks, and also hats, scarves and gloves. We would also welcome toiletries. This year's presents will be going to Ukraine.

We look forward to seeing you there!

The Christingle service is a yearly tradition which takes place in the lead up to Christmas. It uses a special symbol, a decorated orange, to explore the story of God's love for the world at Christmas. Each element of the decorated orange has symbolic value, and during the service candles are lit to represent Christ's light.

This service is in support of the Children's Society, and particularly welcomes children and families.

Doors open at 1.15pm.

After finding a bag of unopened letters on the countdown to Christmas, Santa's Elves have a big job on their hands to ensure no child goes without a present!  With the help of Mrs Claus and the audience, some singing, dancing, MAGIC, lots of silliness and a surprise guest - will they save Christmas just in time?
The Doorstep Elves are bringing their sell out show back to Hitchin this Christmas. Following the 35-minute performance, every child will have the opportunity to meet the elves, get a nice list certificate signed by Mrs Claus, find their name on the GIANT nice list and take part in our elf crafts. This December, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.

This year we have doubled the light trail from 500 metres to one kilometre, with over 20 light creations and a custom-made soundtrack.

Discover Stockwood like you've never seen it before, as you weave your way on a self-guided tour through the illuminated pathways, set against the backdrop of the lush greenery. We have interactive light installations, shimmering disks reflecting the sky, bouncing psychelic colours, colourful animations and sparkly mirrors.

Harpenden Choral Society is delighted to present a festive Christmas Carol Concert.

Harpenden Choral Society is delighted to present a festive Christmas Carol Concert. Conducted by John Andrews and accompanied by organist Roger Carter, the concert will feature many traditional favourites for both choir and audience.

Seasonal refreshments (included in the ticket price) will be served after the concert, and there will be an appeal and retiring collection in aid of Herts Young Homeless. hyh has been supporting young people in Hertfordshire since 1998. They supported 16,334 young people to improve their lives through education, advice and support last year. They provide vital services to support young people to achieve brighter futures by prevention, early intervention, crisis support and independent living support.

This December, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.

This year we have doubled the light trail from 500 metres to one kilometre, with over 20 light creations and a custom-made soundtrack.

This winter, the Tewinbury Woodland Light Trail returns, now four times longer then last year and more spectacular than before.

This December, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.

This year we have doubled the light trail from 500 metres to one kilometre, with over 20 light creations and a custom-made soundtrack.

When Kay Harker returns home for the Christmas holidays, he meets an old magician who entrusts him with a mysterious, magical box - the Box of Delights. The box has incredible powers and Kay is quickly entangled in a thrilling adventure involving time travel, magic and sinister forces.

As Kay struggles to protect the box, he must outwit those who want to use the box for evil and preserve the magic of Christmas. Along the way he encounters mythical creatures, shifting realities and the rich folklore of a fantastical world.

The play is a festive, fast-paced blend of mystery and enchantment, filled with wonder and the spirit of childhood adventure.

Produced entirely in-house, our trail lets you explore Swiss Garden's quirky features aglow in vibrant colours, with some fun interactive elements and photo-worthy moments.

In the Collection hangars our iconic aircraft, vehicles and machines will be bathed in light, adding to the awesome revere these fantastic machines inspire.

This winter, the Tewinbury Woodland Light Trail returns, now four times longer then last year and more spectacular than before.

Beginning at the main farmhouse, the illuminated path winds through the Stable Garden, into Rectory Woods and across open fields, looping back into Westley Wood and the meadow, before finishing at the new Farmyard by the river where our Après Ski Bar awaits.

Follow the glowing trail and discover moments of wonder along the way. Step through a glittering tunnel of lights, pause beneath starlit groves, wander into enchanted forests and find yourself in glowing fields alive with colour and sound. Herd your family together for a baaa-rilliant Christmas trail at Wrest Park this festive season. Grab a trail map and track down twelve super-sized sculptures of Shaun the Sheep designed by different artists.

The trail runs from Wednesday-Sunday. On weekends until 23 December, you can also get hands-on with Christmas crafts and toast marshmallows around the fire once ewe've found the flock.

Santa is coming to Stockwood for 2025 with a 45 minute festive experience.

Join Santa's whimsical elves in his workshop where all the magic happens and create your very own festive keepsake to treasure. This December, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.

This year we have doubled the light trail from 500 metres to one kilometre, with over 20 light creations and a custom-made soundtrack.

Discover Stockwood like you've never seen it before, as you weave your way on a self-guided tour through the illuminated pathways, set against the backdrop of the lush greenery. We have interactive light installations, shimmering disks reflecting the sky, bouncing psychelic colours, colourful animations and sparkly mirrors.
